My MSc

The main reason I chose to come and do a MSc was for the extra practical experience I’ll gain during my lab project. The hope is that this extra experience will give me the confidence needed to apply for a PhD. The only down fall here is that because the projects aren’t until the summer I’ve missed the deadline for applying to PhDs starting sept 2020. So instead of me starting a PhD in 2020 I’ll now need to apply for 2021. Now I can’t help thinking maybe instead of coming to do a masters I should have just applied straight from my undergrad…but then again would I have been accepted without the extra experience… better still will I even be accepted with the extra experience…..time will tell I guess. All I can do for now is concentrate on getting through the semester, look forward to my project and get as much advice as possible on writing PhD applications so I’m prepared for applying next year.
